Bon Allen Dy is a passionate fashion design enthusiast with a journey that began during her high school days at St. Joseph High School. Inspired by characters like Stella from Winx Club and Rarity from My Little Pony, who embodied positive attitudes and self-expression through fashion, Bon Allen embarked on her fashion path. In 2022, she started learning to sew and joined the costume team, Company of Saint, to gain hands-on experience. To further her skills, Bon Allen attended the Fashion Illustration program at MC College in 2023, enhancing her drawing abilities. Currently, She is enrolled in MC College's Fashion Designing Program for the 2024-2025 academic year, building a solid foundation in design. Additionally, Bon Allen connected with House of Sew to expand her knowledge and insights in the industry. With a strong commitment to developing her skills, Bon Allen looks forward to exploring new opportunities and collaborations in the world of fashion.
Now that Bon Allen Dy is currently in the Fashion Design program, she's experiencing more projects like being a Designing Assistant at the Edmonton Indigenous Fashion Week of 2025. These experiences honor MC COLLEGE students, celebrating Indigenous fashion, arts, and culture, featuring stunning designs, amazing performances, and immense talent. The purpose of this experience is to empower the Fashion Collective towards Indigenous culture, creating a memorable event.
The TELIO IMPACT AWARDS of 2025 recognize fashion's vital role in promoting sustainable practices, supporting brands and designers in creating environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable products. Bon Allen Dy showcased her skills in sustainability within the fashion industry. Her project involved recycling, creative writing, and strategic planning, demonstrating her passion for sustainability.
As the Creative Director of KOI.HING BOUTIQUE, Bon Allen Dy's first photoshoot showcases her projects from 2024-2025. Her collection includes a skirt with a crop bodice representing FIRE, pants with a blouse representing NATURE, a princess-lined dress representing WATER, and a 2-set knitwear representing AIR. Bon worked with friends as models, photographers, and assistants. This photoshoot is crucial for her 2025 Fall/Winter collection, KOI ☆VISION because it is the storyteller of her upcoming collection, under her brand KOI.HING BOUTIQUE.
This is just the first step in her journey, and she's proud of her work, grateful to have discovered her potential, and excited to collaborate with others to gain more experience.
